Dear Lake Norman Tennis Community,

We are excited to share that the 18 & Over NC USTA Adult League Championships, hosted by LNTA, have received two awards. In October, our championship was named the 2021 USTA NC Team Tennis Event/Program of the Year. This past week, this same event received the 2021 USTA Southern Tennis Team Tennis Event of The Year. There are 20 USTA Team Tennis Championships in North Carolina each year and each of the nine states in the USTA Southern Section host the same events, totaling 180 State Championships in the Southern Section. Our 18+ Championships were selected as “the best” over all of these events.

Lake Norman earned this recognition due to the cooperation of the local clubs and Parks and Recreation Departments, the great social and recreational activities available throughout LKN for the players, and most importantly our tremendous volunteers. The volunteers are the face of the tournament — the people who make this event run smoothly and help the visiting players enjoy their tournament experience.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone involved for supporting this event for the past eight years and for helping us to win this prestigious award.
