Welcome to the LNTA Tennis Ladders!

Thank you for choosing to play in an LNTA Ladder. We have many Ladders to choose from — Men’s & Women’s Singles and Women’s 2.5 Doubles. Play in as many as you like! There’s something for everyone.

These Ladders give players more options to compete in a more social and laid-back atmosphere. Play in a Ladder does NOT affect your NTRP rating, however you will be required to list your self-rating or computer rating when joining. Match format will be best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set being a 10-point tiebreaker.

Playoff Info

Prizes will be awarded to LNTA Ladder Winners and Finalists! The Ladder season will run for about 8 weeks, with a playoff round to follow based on the number of players / teams registered. See below:

• 6 or fewer players / teams = #1 seed will win $25 prize for singles ($25 each for 2.5 doubles, which may be granted a longer season since no playoff)
• 7 – 11 players / teams = Top 4 advance to playoff round
  • Winner – $25 singles ($25 each for 2.5 doubles)
    • Finalist – $15 singles ($15 each for 2.5 doubles)
• 12+ players / teams = Top 8 advance to playoff round
  • Winner – $50 singles ($50 each for 2.5 doubles)
    • Finalist – $25 singles ($25 each for 2.5 doubles)

Singles Ladder Info

Our Singles Ladder will use a “bump” format, where lower-ranked players who defeat a higher-ranked player will take their spot. The losing player will then “bump down” one spot. Players will only be able to “challenge up” 3 spots.

The cost to register is $25 per Ladder. There will be a playoff, and the top 2 finishers at the end of the season will receive prizes. See Playoff Info above.

2.5 Doubles Ladder Info

Our 2.5 Doubles Ladder will use a “bump” format, where lower-ranked players who defeat a higher-ranked player will take their spot. The losing pair will then “bump down” one spot. Players will only be able to “challenge up” 3 spots.

The cost is $25 to register in one of the Ladders. Prizes awarded for the winning pair (see Playoff Info above)! The Doubles Ladders are traditional style, so you sign up with a partner.
