On Sept 28, Iris Ham was awarded the 2019 USTA Adult Local League Coordinator of the Year at the Community Tennis Development Workshop Awards Luncheon hosted by NC Tennis. Iris has been a Coordinator for 26 years, and she continues to take on new responsibilities and grow tennis in Lake Norman. She now oversees these USTA leagues: Spring Adult, Mixed, Summer Singles, Tri-Level, Southern Combo Doubles, Fall Singles, and Racquets & Jackets. This year, Iris also stepped up to be the Coordinator of Volunteers for the 18+ State Championships, and she initiated Try League, a new league opportunity for adult beginners. This was a busy year for Iris, and LNTA is so proud of the good job she has done! Thank you for earning the respect of players, facilities, fellow Coordinators, and the NC Tennis leadership. We APPRECIATE all that you do!
